FPWR’s community is made up of parents like you, determined to make a difference for our loved ones with PWS. Hosting a fundraiser is a meaningful way to support research, and it doesn’t have to take a lot of time or energy. Every event – big and small – makes an impact, and we’re here to prove it! Tiffany Gibson, Jen Lee, and Amanda & Eric Dunn share how supporting PWS research can fit into anyone’s busy schedule while being a rewarding, fun experience.
One Small Step
One Small Step walks raise awareness and funds while promoting physical activity (talk about a win-win-win)! We love One Small Step because…
- It’s inexpensive (most public parks offer free reservations)
- Requires minimal planning (we have tools and resources to help you)
- Appeals to a wide audience - anyone can participate (babies, grandmas, and everyone in between)
Tiffany Gibson, mom to Henley, shares her experience hosting her first One Small Step walk in this 2-minute video.
Do What You Love
Just about any activity can be turned into a fundraising event, including hanging out at a brewery! Learn how Amanda and Eric Dunn did just that in this 1-minute video.
Golf Tournament
Golf tournaments provide a fun and social environment for participants, making it easy to attract people to the event. The best part? You don’t have to be a golf expert to host! Just ask Jen Lee, fierce PWS advocate, who talks about hosting a golf tournament in this 2-minute video.
You Can, Too. We Can Help!
It's no secret that conducting research is a lengthy and costly process, but FPWR's community remains committed to eliminating the challenges of Prader-Willi syndrome. Every dollar matters in our mission, and every community member can make a difference! Whether you’re planning a birthday celebration, craft party, chili cook-off, or something in between, our team is eager to help bring your vision to life. Join us!
