Temper outbursts and disruptive behaviors are among the most challenging aspects of PWS, both for the individual with PWS and their family. A major cause of family stress, these behaviors have a detrimental effect on the quality of life of both the person with PWS and their family. FPWR is preparing to conduct a multi-center clinical trial of VNS to establish the safety and efficacy of VNS as a treatment for behavioral challenges in PWS, thereby making this treatment available for our loved ones with PWS.
